The English Server at Carnegie Mellon University (CMU) is a meta-index of materials for writers and literary critics. Maintained by graduate students and professors at the Pittsburgh school, the site organizes links and material written by CMU personnel in categories such as drama, history, languages and linguistics, and Pittsburgh. The large and eclectic collection of humanities resources contains archives of conventional humanities materials, such as historical documents as well as classic books in electronic form. It also offers more unusual and hard to find resources, particularly in the field of popular culture and media. The site includes access to many humanities and culture-related online journals such as 'Bad Subjects,' 'FineArt Forum,' and 'Postmodern Culture.' Links to a wide variety of related Internet sites and resources are also provided.
